At the start of June, I got the chance to help out a creative agency in London that was so new it didn’t have a name yet. In a whirlwind two months, we pitched three pieces of new business and produced work for one of the UK’s most loved brands. And they picked a name.

OCT24 - APR25

BIG BANG

A campaign starring one of the world’s wealthiest animals. That’s what we created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Hublot’s most iconic watch, the Big Bang. Featuring Choupette (the late Karl Largerfeld’s cat), we introduced LVMH’s enfant terrible of the luxury watch world, to the world of TikTok and Instagram.

THIS IS LIVING

For me, Corona is a beer you can taste without drinking. It’s the ocean, beaches and summer. So it was a pleasure to join the team at W+K Amsterdam in the midst of a Dutch winter to develop a platform that celebrates the brand’s 100 year anniversary. The work became an integrated campaign featuring this film by Daniel Wolfe.

VW

I was invited by DDB Berlin to join a team of senior creatives from all over the world, to redefine the Volkswagen brand. Platform building for a beloved but troubled brand, during a precarious time for the German automotive industry was a hefty challenge but a fun one. Vroom vrooom!

BOOK4 EDGE

No more searching for lost files! With the AI-powered Galaxy Book4 Edge, just ask and it will find. A film seasoned with a dash of Severance and a sprinkle of Twin Peaks, bringing to life an everyday nightmare and one of Samsung’s newest AI features. Made with W+K Ams. Watch here.

PITCH SEASON!

As summer gave way to Autumn I suddenly found myself back at W+K and wrangling FOUR simultaneous pitches - guiding creative teams on three big tech challenges and some more Olympics fun.

Z FLIP 5

Back at W+K Amsterdam with team Samsung, overseeing the post production for the launch of their foldable Z Flip 5 phone. With music video vibes around a remix of the Pussycat Dolls hit ‘Don’t Cha?’, I can now add that to an ever growing list of songs I can never hear again. Watch here.

FEB23 - APR23

PARIS 24

I rejoined W+K’s VISA team to pitch for an opportunity to build their presence at the Paris Games. We won(!), and proceeded to develop an overarching platform, visual identity, hero film, various ground-level activations and a number of social content streams that would lead up to, during the beyond The Games.

OCT22 - FEB23

GALAXY S23 ULTRA

Still at W+K, I climbed back onboard the good-ship Samsung to help oversee the production of two hero films and a bunch of short-format pieces that would launch their flagship S23 ULTRA device in time for their keynote event in Jan 23. VISA

I led the VISA team at W+K to bring some fun and charm back to a brand that had become too reliant on bland banners and billboards. A series of films and social activations featuring seagulls, meditation and speedos, achieved this while not slipping the needle on effectiveness. Watch the films here, here & here.

GALAXY A

Adults don’t always get what the younger gen are doing on their phones. Leading the Samsung creative team at W+K Amsterdam, we developed a creative platform with a series of films and social content that revealed why they need all the phone’s awesome features. SEP20 - JUL21

LYNK&CO

I teamed-up with iconic Amsterdam production company Halal (now 100%), to establish an internal creative agency and our first client was Gothenburg-based automotive brand Lynk & Co. Our small team developed a strategic and creative platform to underpin a raft of content aimed at disrupting the European car industry. The result was an incredibly successful launch with film, print, episodic content and experiences in seven markets - watch the film here.

BARBIE

Promoting imaginative play for girls and boys is something I can buy into, as is a sustainability push by a brand known for plastic. So I was pleased to be Invited by 180 LA to help them pitch for Hasbro’s favourite play thing: Barbie.

In the midst of all the bad stuff, you can’t forget butter. Award-winning Amsterdam agency Being There invited me to help them refresh the famous dairy brand in Germany and across Europe.

FACEBOOK GROUPS

Getting Germany to do more Facebooking, that’s what I’ve been working on with W+K Amsterdam for the past few months. The work is looking nice, I hope Corona permits it to reach your eyeballs one day.

EDIT: it didn’t 😞. The campaign, all about bringing weird facebook groups together in real life, failed the recommendations on social distancing!

NIKE GERMANY

I joined the Nike team at W+K Amsterdam to help with a huge brand initiative, wedging Nike right into the German sports/fashion mix between incumbents Adidas & Puma. Dozens of German athletes united to deliver an inclusivity message just as the world celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Wall coming down. Anthem here.

SCIENCE OF SOFT

Fresh off the boat from the US I had the opportunity to get together with old friend ASICS. Teaming-up with the folk at agency, Like Friends, we developed an integrated product campaign focusing on the intersection of performance technology and lifestyle. More here.
